About me

My background

As a healthcare practitioner for over 30 years, I have been helping people through illness and injury. With a radiographic background, I have been imaging the internal structure and function of our bodies for many years and I apply this knowledge by teaching Pilates to help restore the outer and the inner body. I am a great believer in that movement is for all, no matter what age, gender.

I am passionate in helping others, no matter what level of Pilates they are at.  I had been doing Pilates myself for many years, but it was not until I had a life-threatening injury that Pilates came into its own. Pilates helped realign and strengthen my body and helped adjust and adapt my breathing. No ones body is perfect and it’s about learning to listen to your body and adapting to it.

As a post rehabilitative Breast Cancer exercise specialist, I also have a keen interest in helping women who have or have had Breast Cancer start moving again. I teach a dedicated class for these clients as well as running workshops with Bodywise Pilates.

“I have a hands-on teaching style and offer smaller focused group classes, as well as one to one teaching. I also run workshops to help develop more in-depth learning.”

I am a qualified Pilates teacher in instructing mat work (level 3 Diploma obtained through Holistic Movement and Active IQ).

Attended workshops on Pelvic floor and Women’s Health and Stretching Fascia.
